Roll cages have been around for many years as a safety feature in racing cars but now are commonly seen in road cars, for most users the roll cage is used not primarily as a safety feature but as a styling feature to give off a racing look and make the interior look more custom, another feature of the roll cage is that it will increase the rigidity of your cars body and will reduce roll in to corners giving better handling.
The average roll cage will bolt in to the inside of your car and you will be able to install it your self but some more custom roll cages will have to be welded in to the car’ body work and will need to be fitted at a professional garage.
A basic bolt in roll cage can be picked up for around £250.00 but a customised one will set you back more in the region of £600.00 but may look better.
